Caminos – The trails of St. James

Which Camino de Santiago should you walk? Use this platform to help you decide!

Welcome once again, dear visitor, to this section of the Investigasteve platform! First, a little note: Pilgrims from all over the world typically address each other informally on the Camino. However, since this platform is published in four languages, I will stick to a friendly and respectful tone. It avoids confusion, especially for English speakers who are spared the challenge of navigating formal and informal pronouns. (This can be sometimes a real issue for German speaking readers. So I keep it as formal, polite, short and simple as possible)

There is not just one Way of St. James to Santiago, but many that traverse virtually the entire geography of Europe. On this page, the main routes in Spain will be introduced step by step, starting with the French Way and the Camino Fisterra-Muxía. This includes a list of all stages and the various options for each branch of the Camino, presented on this platform.

  • Which route or section of a route should I choose, and how do I plan it perfectly for myself?
  • Where will I stay?
  • What is there to see?

That’s exactly why this platform exists – to inform you, assist you, and keep you updated with regular additions. The Investigasteve platform contains (or will soon contain) key information and up-to-date details to help you choose the route that suits you best. It serves as both a guide for your preparation and a resource for your journey, offering helpful tips about places, routes, and accommodations.

Additionally, this platform is here to help you answer questions and address doubts, whether it’s about selecting a route that fits your physical condition, finding the best option based on your available time, or choosing the most interesting path for history and architecture enthusiasts. Even if time constraints mean you can only walk part of the Camino, you’ll find helpful recommendations here.

Ultreia, buen camino! Keep smiling and make every day the best day of your life!
